Who Runs Tebay Services
Tebay is run by the Westmorland family business, which says it was the UK's first family-run motorway service area. The northbound side opened in 1972 and the southbound side in 1992, and the farm shop followed in 2003. There are no national chains here: instead there is a kitchen cooking on site, a farm shop with a butchery, and on the northbound side a Quick Kitchen. The two sides are not linked. The Westmorland Hotel is beside the northbound side.
