M6 Junction 36: Crooklands Interchange – A65 Kirkby Lonsdale

Junction 36 of the M6, known as the Crooklands Interchange, is where the M6 meets the A65, for Kirkby Lonsdale / Kendal. The nearest town is Milnthorpe, about 2.3 miles to the west, with Kirkby Lonsdale (5 miles south-east) also close by. Villages right beside the junction include Preston Patrick, Crooklands and Lupton.

Roads that meet at or beside this junction: A65, A590, A6070, B6385. The main road at the junction is the A65.

From here, the drive north to junction 37 (Sedbergh) is about 7.6 miles and the drive south to junction 35 (Carnforth) is about 7.3 miles. Junction 36 is about 152 miles from the start of the M6 at junction 1 and 59 miles from the end at junction 45.

The nearest motorway services are Killington Lake services, between J36 and J37, southbound only.
